If you're connected
to an ADT Customer Monitoring Center, ADT can notify
Fire, Police or Emergency Authorities. ADT offers
all customers this added sense of security 24 hours
a day, seven days a week.
Five ADT Customer Monitoring Centers,
strategically located across the US, provide monitoring
for the homes and businesses of 2.1 million customers.
Through these Customer Monitoring Centers, a real-time
support network handles millions of signals annually,
and provides significant advantages over traditional,
locally based fire and intruder reporting centers.
How it works
Your alarm is triggered: When
your security system detects a potential emergency,
it can send a "signal" to one of ADT’s
Customer Monitoring Centers around the country.
ADT receives the alarm signal: Once
the signal is received, a trained ADT Customer Monitoring
Center Professional can assess the situation. Depending
on the type of alarm signal that is received, the professional
may call your home to determine if the alarm was accidentally
activated.
The proper authorities are called: In
the event of a real emergency, the ADT Customer Monitoring
Center Professionals can notify the appropriate authorities
of the type of emergency at your home.
Don't leave your home unprotected.
